'Get out of my space!' is one of my Interactive sculptures - you can change the position of the crabs to create the sculpture anew as and when you wish. It shows two Fiddler crabs defending their territory. This brings back memories as a child of chasing such crabs on the beach, trying to catch them before they disappeared down their burrows. The common English name 'Fiddler Crab' comes from the feeding of males, where the movement of the small claw from the ground to its mouth resembles the motion of someone drawing a bow across a fiddle (the large claw). Male Fiddler crabs each have a single super-sized claw they use as a weapon to threaten and fight other males and as a beautiful adornment to attract females.
